Cheese Broiled Cedar Island Oysters

INGREDIENTS

Oysters

  • Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • Shredded Gruyere Cheese
  • Black Pepper
  • Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Fresh Minced Garlic
  • Parsley
  • Ghee
  • Rock or Kosher Salt

Flavored Salt Bed

  • Rock or Kosher Salt
  • Red Pepper
  • Peppercorn
  • Fennel Seeds
  • Star Anise
  • Thyme

DIRECTIONS

1. Start with a pan topped with rock or kosher salt, laying oysters on top.
2. Top oysters with a generous amount of parmesan and gruyere cheese, add minced garlic.
3. Drizzle lemon juice over oysters, add black pepper and parsley.
4. Broil until bubbly (about 2 minutes.)

For Flavored Salt Bed
1. Combine rock or kosher salt, red pepper, peppercorn, fennel seeds, star anise and thyme.
2. Spread salt mixture in the middle of your serving platter.
3. Lay broiled oysters on salt bed, drizzle with ghee and enjoy!
